February 2022 FSS Newsletter

Dear FSS participants and community members,

Please welcome Tanya and Breana to our FSS program!  Happy February  Birthday to Gloria!

If you are not an FSS participant and are participating in a Winnebago County Housing Authority voucher or scattered sites program,  please contact me and we can talk about what FSS can do for you!  You are paying a mortgage, just not your own.  Start winning the game!  Become a Homeowner!  FSS can get you ready!

With the COVID-19 numbers increasing, more VIRTUAL classes have popped up in the area.  A  wide variety of classes are available like how to: own a business, rent smart, be a Wise Wisconsin (ite), and increase your parenting skills.  Check them out!

1) WWBIC Presents:  Classes for new entrepreneurs, seasoned business owners and anyone looking to improve business financial health.  Virtual and In-Person Options.  Please see Flyer on page 8, 9 and 10 for more details and registration.  If registration is closed email Amy at averhagen@wwbic.com for class availability.   Stay Tuned for more information when Amy speaks at  our next FSS Connection meeting March 7th at 9am.

2) Rent Smart:   This class may get you in the door of your new place!  Page 3.

3) Wise Wisconsin:  Detailed information is available on page 4.

4) Parent Connection has several parenting classes available online.  Check out the Love & Logic Parenting series  page 12 and the Active Parenting of Teens series page 13.
