September 2021 FSS Newsletter

Dear FSS participants and Community Members,

 Happy September!

The Oshkosh/Winneconne Back To School Fair was held on August 11th, 12th, and 13th with 790 students (1008 total with waitlist) receiving  grade appropriate school supplies, backpacks, hygiene products, shoes, clothing, goodwill vouchers, and St. Vincent de Paul vouchers. Thank you to all who volunteered, attended and supported this important resource.  If you or someone you know is still in need of school supplies, please contact the school counselor or Salvation Army at (920) 232-7660.

Due to substantial spread of COVID, the eviction moratorium  in Winnebago County was extended to October 3, 2021.

Our Quarterly FSS Connection Group Meeting is September 13th at 9 am.  Taylor Raether, Program Services Coordinator II of Fair Housing Center of Greater Madison, will be talking about Fair Housing  including red flags, fair housing rights, their programs/services, and the enforcement process.  Join our Zoom Meeting at: https://zoom.us/j/97491930241.  See page 16 for more info.
